Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a fabulous success story. A professional theatre operating twelve months of the year in the small town of Pitlochry. The a resident population is 1,750 people. Its success is in attracting thousands of people to stay in all the Pitlochry hotels.
The theatre stages its own plays, which rival those put on at the top London and Edinburgh play houses. It attracts the very best actors who are supported by superb scenery produced by the theatre's own in-house team. In addition the theatre has a full programme of concerts, ceilidhs, workshops, exhibitions, tours and talks through the year.

The Theatre's early beginnings.
In 1951, John Stewart had the vision to create a 'theatre in the hills'. Initially starting life in a huge tent in the Grounds of Knockendarroch House in Lower Oakfield. The new purpose built theatre opened in 1981 and has gone from strength to strength.

- Saver Seats - You are guaranteed a seat at £15, but you do not know where you are sitting. You will find out on the actual day of the performance. There are always 50 seats held back from every performance for the saver seats.
