All riders are welcome to Mains of Taymouth Riding Stables, an independently stables run by a team who are passionate about horses and want to help others enjoy them too, whether you are a beginner or enjoy experienced rider they cater for you. The maximum weight limit 13 stone or 83 Kgs. Pony rides for all abilities start with a 30 minute session and longer of required.

The trekking and riding centre is situated in the heart of Scotland, close to the shores of Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire, just over the bridge from the picturesque village of Kenmore. 21 miles from Pitlochry (40mins drive), 7 miles from Aberfeldy (15mins drive time), 24 mikles from Dunkeld (41mins drive).

What sets Mains of Taymouth apart from other stables is that it is located within the 120 acre estate, in a beautiful location, away from lots of traffic and noise near Loch Tay and the River Tay, which offer superb views of the highland countryside.

Horse Trekking is for 1 hour or 2 hours. It is suitable for all ages and abilities. Ride on forest tracks, within Tay Forest Park, or alongside Scotland’s longest river, the River Tay. All supervised by their excellent team of staff

30 minutes - £20; 1hr children’s ride - £30 (max age 12 years); 1hr adults ride - £35 (from age 13 years up); 2hr experienced ride - £60 (aged 12 years up and MUST be an experienced rider)
