Rhythms of Colour: Late Paintings and Prints – Wilhelmina Barns-Graham
The Watermill Gallery, Aberfeldy
Born in St Andrews, Fife Wilhelmina Barns-Graham was one of the foremost British abstract artists working in the second half of the twentieth century. This exhibition, the third organised by The Watermill Gallery in collaboration with the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust, will be an opportunity to view a significant collection of her late work. The exhibition will feature a remarkable group of paintings from this period, which will include full-sheet works on paper. The rhythms of colour and the dynamic brushstrokes in these later paintings convey a vivacity and joie de vivre that is irresistible.
The Watermill is open Mon-Sat 10am – 5.30pm & Sun 11am – 5.30pm. Tel: 01887 822896. Exhibition website: http://www.aberfeldywatermill.com/art/
